So I realize it's been nearly a month since I posted anything here and Yes! I know I promised some Christmas pics. Pull up a chair. This is gonna be a long one. I'll try and keep the wordage brief and just get right to the pictures.
Let's start with those Christmas pictures. This first group is from December 25th (the day Jackson was sick).

Those three were at home in the morning before we knew he was running a fever.
Here's a couple from later that evening at Grandma and Grandpa B's house. He's hot and feeling lousy in these ones but He tried to have a good time.

A week later we had Christmas 2.0 at the Mills' house. Grandpa M. wasn't home on Christmas so we celebrated the following weekend. Jackson was feeling a heck of a lot better by this point and he had a blast. However, the camera battery was dead and we only managed to get three pictures.

There was an incident involving a santa suit and a very dirty diaper. So we changed him into his new overalls and a pair of jeans.
There you have it. Christmas 2006.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and we're at the third annual Birdsong family vacation. As I mentioned before, we went to Tennessee. It was really great. On the way there we decided it would be best to split the drive in half for Jackson's sake. A good move. About 40 minutes before we reached our destination, on both legs of the journey, he had had enough of the car. reached our destination.
The only picture we took at the halfway point (Fayetteville, Ga) was of me testing out the new beds at the Hampton Inn.

Then we spent a wonderful week in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I'm just gonna lay on the pictures and give brief descriptions of what and where.
Testing out the hot tub.

The family in Gatlinburg.

The family at Laural Falls in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We had to push the stoller 1.25 miles up a mountain for this photo op.

Jackson in a coon skin cap.

Betsy enjoying a delicious funnel cake.

We let Jackson drive down the mountain.

Jackson all bundled up for a cold day at the ski slope.

Nearly the whole gang (Jeff took the photo, Greg and Dianna had to leave a few days early) at The Smoky Mountain Brewery on our last night in Tennessee.

Later that same night, Betsy gave Jackson a bath. He always has fun splashing in the bath, but this time he was going wild. So I tried to capture the crazy splashing with the camera. What I got was much better.

He splashed so hard he nearly flipped over.
Here's one more of Jackson this afternoon. He had yogurt for lunch.

Thanks for reading.
