Which brings me to why I just want to quickly bring all you faithful readers up to date. I started this blog because I wanted to record the funny things Jackson will say and do. Mostly say. I would often hear talk show hosts tell hilarious stories about things their children would say, or it would just be a friend relating an equally hysterical anecdote about their kids. So I decided to do this blog as a way to preserve those moments. Those moments are upon us. Let's get these last two months out of the way first.
Here's Jackson lookin' good in some flannel

We had a nice day in December with the Mullins' and their daughter Katherine. They are very cute together.

Jackson brushing his teeth in the mirror and seeming very pleased with himself.

Uncle Greg throwing Jackson to Aunt Bunny (not really). Christmas Eve at Jeff and Jackie's house.

Tearing into his gifts on Christmas morning. We really had a great Christmas this year. All the aunts and uncles and grandmas and grandpas spoiled Jackson quite well. He had a blast. He's still talking about Santa and making us read "The Night Before Christmas" pretty much every night.

Olive fingers!

Jammin' on his new piano.

Playing with his lowrider from Ryan and Amber.

Helping daddy build a bookshelf with his new hammer. Jackson is a bit of a hammer collector. He has many.

Playing with Katherine during Jags postseason.

Chomp! Chomp!

And finally. "My parents went to Mexico and all I got was a sombrero and a guitar."

Caught up? Good. Let's move on.
So Jackson is saying a lot. Mostly, Betsy and I are the only ones that really understand what he's saying, but a lot of what he says is amazingly clear.
Betsy and Jackson went out to K Mart a week or so ago. While there, they discovered the Florida Gator themed baby gear to be on sale. Jackson is hopelessly addicted to his "ya ya". That's the word he made up for his pacifier and it stuck. Anyway, Betsy bought Jackson a Gator ya ya. When they got home he couldn't wait to show me. He dug it out of the bag and ran over to me and said "Look Daddy, cool ya ya." How great is that?
He has said many other funny things. I'll report on them when I think of them or whenever he says something else that's priceless.
One other instance that comes to mind is that Jackson loves to think he's the boss of Jimbo. Jimbo is our Kitty. She's kind of a trouble maker and we're often saying "no" to her. Jackson will chime in with "time out! Jimbo" and/or "No! No! Jimbo!". He really likes having someone to be in charge of.
Okay. That'll do for now. Hopefully the hits will just keep coming. I'll have to come up with clever ways to incorporate images into these sorts of updates. Have no fear. I'll figure it out.
Bye Bye for now.
